Kelpe - I Felt Fuzzy [Svetlana]

Kelpe with his first release on Svetlana takes us to a place to feel fuzzy. Sounding like a mix between Floating Points and Architeq but with a distinctive sound all his own. A sound that wraps you up in warm basslines and arped synths. Really groovy stuff..

DRVG CVLTVRE - DRVG CVLTVRE [Viewlexx]

I came across a new artist today, Vincent Koreman aka DRVG CVLTVRE. As per his bio on Soundcloud, the music is, “slow, doomy disco and experimental house.” It’s a pretty accurate description based on this killer EP on Viewlexx from Holland. Each track has it’s on little quirks and each do a great job at sounding very unique. If you’re looking for something that is a bit left of center but still have a solid groove to latch onto, these are it. My favorites are the twisted slomo acid jam Hermes Russia and the final track Heartbeat which sees a blend of acid squiggles, a garage-like vocal sample and some funky snare programming.

Mr Beatnick - Synthetes [Don't Be Afraid]

Awesome mixed up house EP by Mr Beatnick, backed with a killer Architeq remix. My favorite track on the EP is the title track, super lush orchestral strings with one of hell of wicked beat topped with a wandering bassline. Ace.

Andy Stott - Passed Me By [Modern Love]

Andy Stott and Modern Love do it again; this release is incredibly captivating is sound and composition. Every track is so heavily weighted in the bottom is ridiculous. It's extremely difficult to pick a favorite but I think "dark Details" wins it; starts off unbalanced and then a groove forms around a broken half-step vibe. Fucking class!

Roof Light - Midas/Palm [Millions of Moments]

Read full review of Midas / Palm - ROOF LIGHT on Boomkat.com ©

Roof Light, a 2010 highlight (if only for the crazy weird electronica he's been dipping into on his soundcloud page). Odd pairing with MOM, which is known for some great dub meanderings, but it works. Both label and producer steppin out and making some great music/release. Proper.
