The new one from Fourth Wave doesn't tread any new ground for the label, but it does show that they've hit their stride. Both cuts have a distinctly raw vibe that would be ideal for sweaty basements. A is good; B is where it's at though!

Presk - Hesitate [Fourth Wave]

Gerry Read - We Are [Fourth Wave]
Offshoot label of Ramp, Fourth Wave release their 3rd EP, second from Gerry Read. It seems he’s traded in his garage influence for some twisted house/techno ala Matthew Herbert or Jan Jelinek in his Farben guise. We Are chugs along with filters on full tilt throughout. Narry is a stomper, similar to Kinda Kickin’ by Herbert. I can see great things in this man’s future.
